After tweeting the post from 5 years ago when the Hammer ended his reign at the little ticket, people started asking if we had the audio of his last day. A good strong P1 from @mustwinradio (they have a podcast to check out) actually had it and sent it over.
Now you can re-listen to the fateful day the ticket’s hammer left the building. It started the infamous “Where’s Greggo?” line that all P1′s continued to bombard the Ticket with via calls, emails and all.

first of all, thank you sweet baby jesus lord for putting this site together. It’s really incredible. I remember hearing this live but I don’t remember the date. Do you have the date this aired?

So was the HL show opener his last segment? I became a P1 in Dec. ’07 so I just missed it, and always been shrouded in mystery.
at about the 42:35 you can hear Corby say “don’t ask where he is” softly as they are coming back from break.
Hope all you P1s are enjoying the audio. Our podcast is out of commission right now, but we’ll be up soon and I, Steamshack, would personally love you each with my mouth if you checked it out.
There is one part during the open when Mike has quite a slip of the tongue. I’ll see if I can narrow it down what time.
@TheUnDaniel – that is the best part of the audio, past that there isn’t really much worth listening too.
This was interesting. Hammer claims to be running late due to OnStar which seems like a lie but he actually sounds lucid.
Probably the most shocking is how Rhyner wouldn’t call off his racist Herschel Walker bit. (And how unfunny it was and is.) At one point you could tell Bob was thinking he was crossing the line when he said, “All right, Imus.”
I don’t miss Greggo in the slightest bit.
I miss him terribly. The Ticket, or the Hardline I should say, has truly suffered without him. HL used to be must listen radio. I couldn’t tell you the last time I listened to the HL. Corby is terrible as proper. He’s a yuk monkey. He was great in that role. He is awful as a replacement for Greggo. I’m still sad he’s gone.
Really the whole thing has suffered. Fake Greggo was always greatness.
what day is the e-news from
I think Jake Z was/is the right guy to plug in after Grubes sobered up and left to get some book learnin’, but G** d*** I’m in stitches listening to Grubes hijack another segment with that stupid bicycle drop. He can’t be replaced so let’s just enjoy this snapshot of his greatness.
Do you like your gig? That wasn’t the question!
