Dale & Delkus did some damage on their own on New Year’s Night. There were quite a few uncomfortable moments and a few funny ones. Take your pick and enjoy this video of quick hits from the evening.

00:00 – 00:10 – Dale asks the question, “Is anybody alive out there?”. I can hear this being a show open sometime soon.

00:10 – 01:05 – There was a giveaway for a Camaro that night. Unfortunately, for this guy, getting in the Camaro turned into more of a competition.

01:05 – 03:37 – What should have been a touching tribute, turned into a really uncomfortable few minutes. Just a reminder this was shown at 11:50pm, ten minutes before the ringing in of the New Year. It was hard to understand why you would put something where people should be respectful so close to the big event and so close to thousands of drunk people. Delkus seems to like reminding people that they were shot. Hansen is asking the soldiers if they have any second thoughts. Then comes the rousing rendition of God Bless America, complete with cold brass instrument intro.

03:37 – 04:05 – Dale decides to close out the night with a final thought. It was actually the most sincere moment of the night. Maybe it made up for the comments earlier to Shelly Slater. See 04:05 of the video.

Gordon Keith

With Dale Hansen sitting in for Junior, there was lots of fun going on, with more stories.

During Gordo’s corner, they discussed the happening of the Oprah encounter where Dale asked for an apology regarding Dr. Phil. (see video here)

Then it was time to play some classic Dale audio from when he was still working at the Ticket.

They play a phone prank where fake Norm calls Dale and asked him if he’d share a room with him.

The other bit I think was when Dale & Dan McDowell had their little tiff, but they didn’t get to it. “We’re just havin’ fun here, no?”

Dale Hansen sat in for Junior, since he ran the NYC marathon and boy were we in for a treat!

I remember Dale’s show on the Ticket and it wasn’t that entertaining. Very sportsy, but I knew he was a funny guy.

Whether it was his constant giggling during the fake Jerry & Wade segment or his funny stories about Gordo…even up to his funny comments about co-workers following the classic audio played during Gordo’s Corner where fake Norm called to ask Dale to share a room, Dale was entertaining today.

Then came the mix down with Norm. They got on the subject of Gordon winning emmy’s (local) and the subject of Dale’s wife came up with Gordo commenting on Mrs. Hansen having great legs. What followed that was a bit jaw dropping. I won’t say it here…I think Dale is the only one that can say it and I’ll leave it up to him. Shocking, but I’m sure his wife gets his crazy sense of humor.

Fake Jerry & Wade jumped on with the Musers, which had Dale Hansen on in place of Junior.

(A side note…Dale was hilarious with the Musers this morning! I’ll post the mix down later where Dale goes scorched Earth with his wife.)

Jerry tells the story about how his boys broke the switch to open the roof so they couldn’t do it by game time.

Wade comes on and tells about how he went fishing at the Dallas Aquarium.

Then Wade tells us what they found when they did a Cat scan on his head. Then compares himself to Herpes!
