Two Dicks One Hammer

Richie and Richie talk Hammer

Richie Whitt isn’t letting this Greggo soap die and I think it’s great. Gives us more to talk about on top of funny bits. He mentioned that he was going to talk to Big Dick live, but then the plan fell through.

One of Greggo’s buddies from the Ticket was Richard Hunter, who was fired from The Ticket last year. He is known as “Big Dick”. Big Dick had his own show for a while in the evenings over at The Ticket called “Big Dick’s P1 Wild Ass Circus”. Since being fired, he removed the P1 and the “WAC“, as it’s referred to, airs over on 105.3. His website is definitely fun to look at too, because he is in with all the sluts of America.

Most P1’s will remember when Big Dick was married at the Bunny Ranch, which I believe might have aired on HBO at some point, and Greggo was a groomsman in Big Dick’s wedding. I can only imagine the partying that went on that night. I’m sure some of the working girls were “Hammered” by the Hammer.

Anyhow, Big Dick interviewed Richie Whitt and here is the audio:

My final thoughts on this is something that hit me this morning. I have no idea if Pugs and Kelly have really been let go or not, but what a perfect move for 105.3 to bring Greggo in to do a show with Big Dick! The midday time slot, two interesting hosts and all the publicity to come with it would shoot their ratings through the roof. Definitely would compete with Bad Radio, at least for a little while.

The Hardline Responds to The Hard Lie

Posted on 10 July 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

Hardline Responds to The Hard LieWhat a juicy time for Ticket fans! If you’ve read the other posts about Richie Whitt’s article “The Hard Lie”, then you are rubbing your hands together in anticipation for The Hardline’s response. Lucky for us, they decided to go a few segments into the subject and tell their side of the story. It’s definitely good to hear someone involved put some valid points into the story rather than just reading an article from an outside source. I’m just glad Corby put his side in because the article really made him out to be a backstabbing snake.

Reading over on Whitt’s blog, a lot of people said they were probably going to miss the audio. Guess what. . .that’s what TheUnTicket.com is for! I broke them down by segments:

Segment 1 - The Hardline’s response to “The Hard Lie”

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Segment 2 - Rhyner responds about phasing out Greggo

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Segment 3 - Closing comments about the whole thing

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

FINALLY!! The question “Where’s Greggo?” has been answered. New question is, “Where’s the Greggo drops?”

“The Hard Lie” - The Greggo vs. Ticket Story

Posted on 09 July 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

Richie Whitt from the Dallas Observer has been making all of our mouths water about his upcoming feature that paints a clearer picture behind the story of Greg Williams leaving The Ticket. There’s no doubt The Hardline has had an unfair advantage to steer the story in their favor. According to Richie Whitt, this story should let us see both sides and hear their true thoughts. Whitt has made several pre-story blog posts and while the printed copy is in some locations, most of us are still in the dark.

These are Whitt’s blogs:

This was the first one I read about the upcoming Greggo vs Ticket story.

Then Richie makes a post that, as he puts it, is like a movie trailer for “The Hard Lie”.

Hopefully this isn’t a complete oversell, but President Bush is interested in Greggo!

As soon as it’s in front of my eyes, I’ll post a follow up. Extremely interested!

Greg Williams Father Passes Away

Posted on 08 July 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

We are huge fans of Greggo and the Hardline just made the announcement that Greggo’s father has died. There’s really nothing one can say to make things any easier, so we’ll just wish Greggo our best and raise a beer in honor of Pappa Williams. “RIP Brotha!”

Do You Like This Gig? Greggo Greatness

Posted on 08 June 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

This is probably one of the best classic Ticket moments. Motorcycle Greggo “The Hammer” Williams has so many golden audio clips, but not many stack up against the Greggo vs. David Kunkle moment. I thought I would transcribe the audio just in case this is your first time hearing it and are in disbelief of what you’re hearing.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Greggo: We’re talking to the number one cop in Dallas, the #1 cop, the commissioner, chief of police, David Kunkle.

What umm, do you like this gig?

Kunkle: No. I, I, uh, uh, uh love my job. It’s a. .. .

Greggo: I the, that wasn’t the question. Do you…do do do you like your job?

Kunkle: No, I said, do i love, maybe i didn’t understand the question.

Greggo: Ok. I, I mean do you like being chief of police.

Long live Greggo!

The Hardline Cuts Off Kenny Lofton Interview

Posted on 14 March 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

This is a classic interview with the hardline, Rhyner and Greggo, interviewing Kenny Lofton from the Texas Rangers. Lofton was showing very little interest in the interview and Rhyner told him they were as interested in the interview as he was and cut him off. Audio gold:

The Hammer and Big Newt?

Posted on 14 March 2008 - Blame this person -> Jerusalem Jackson

Rumor has it that Greg “The Hammer” Williams might be teaming up with former Cowboys offensive lineman and marijuana distributor Nate Newton on ESPN radio.

I think it’d be AWESOME if Greggo resurfaced somewhere in Big D. And to further confirm this rumor, I was just sent this…

Where’s Greggo? On the Hunt for Hamboctober.

Posted on 04 March 2008 - Blame this person -> Doanwanna Poopoo

The latest reports seem to be that our beloved Hammer headed to the mountains, “rocky mountain high?”, to look for jobs up in Denver. That’s a great idea I think. Get the hell outta dodge. Plus what a perfect place to go. A place with a scenery!

The latest picture of Greggo we have been provided with shows him going incognito, a bit. He’s also going by the name of Greg Earl Williams:

Greggo Does Jacksonville

Posted on 06 February 2008 - Blame this person -> Jerusalem Jackson

Dick Hicks has been delivering the news via ticker all morning so I thought I’d send an official shout-out to the Hammer:

Good luck in Jacksonville, brotha! I can’t believe you made the jump from talk radio to pro football coaching but if anyone can do it….YOU CAN!

Go Jags?
