I first heard of Kina Grannis on TechCrunch where they talked about her doing a Digg song. I checked it out and thought the girl had a really good voice and the Digg bit was pretty catchy.
While checking out her other stuff, I noticed she was picked as one of the contestants for this Doritos contest where they announce the winner during the Super Bowl. I listened to every single one of the contestants (because I like new music) and felt Kina was the best by far, with some dude named Landon from Dallas up there with her. Both made it to the final 3 along with some rap outfit. I still felt Kina was going to win because she has an amazing voice, catchy songs, she’s pretty and most importantly, she has the whole Digg community behind her. It was a genius move on her part
They just played her video during the commercial so that means she won. Congrats Kina Grannis. I feel like I discovered you and brought you to victory, even though I never even voted for you. HAAA! (It required myspace login and all that crap) I knew she would win without my vote and only my support. So I raise my tall glass of whiskey and ice and toast to Kina Grannis. Congrats on your new Interscope Records contract. May you have a long and successful career.
