The Orphanage – St. Patrick’s Day Edition

Posted on 15 March 2010 by AP

Danny and Davey are joined by Gordo and noted regional comic David Little for the annual St. Patrick’s day celebration on Greenville.  There’s too much here to pick a few things, so here it is in entirety, including the Tee-box mix and the Bacsick/Newbery mix (or as Bacsick puts it, “Varsity hands off to J.V.”)

Look alive bitches, it’s showtime!

The Rant – Oh Wait – The Orphanage

Posted on 26 January 2008 by Doanwanna Poopoo

As the great afternoon cloud once said,

THEY SUCK!

Jackass

I really don’t feel that way, I’ve just had Danny’s drop of “They Suck” in my head all day.

Spank it!

The Orphanage – The Teebox – Ben and Skin

Posted on 12 January 2008 by Doanwanna Poopoo

Today I was awakened by my mother calling at 8:30am that her car was broke down at the police station. She wanted me to come help and try to get it running. Since it was on the other side of town, I was able to get a lot of radio time, which included listening to almost the entire “Orphanage” with Danny Balis and Davey Lane (Gen X Davey). I also caught the tail end of the Teebox with Rick Arnett and Craig Rosengarden of Avid Golfer Magazine and the mix between the Orphanage and Ben and Skin

The teebox was ok, kind of boring. I learned some interesting things about golf balls but couldn’t listen much more than I did.

The orphanage is what makes the ticket worth a flip on Saturday. (A perfectly named show due to Danny and Davey being Orphans) However, today, Danny and Davey were talking sports the whole time! WTF! They’re not sports dorks like the other hosts. The only thing that made it ok was it was all NFL. Probably because as a duo, they can’t talk other sports and make sense. I know “Dandy” knows basketball and maybe baseball, but hey boys, keep to your music and nonsense talk because it serves you better. Dorks.

The mix is what killed me. Ben and (fore)Skin are funny, but man, can you say OVERKILL? Either Davey or Danny were trying to tell a story about twins separated at birth and marrying, but those stupid basketball dorks wouldn’t shut the hell up long enough for the story to be finished. Ben & Skin if you read this, by chance, you guys can really be a possible show replacement down the road if, and only if, you pull the reigns back on trying to be funny. Every sentence or every word said doesn’t have to be met with a reply of funny lines. Be patient and the humor will come naturally. It sounds so forced and it makes me turn the channel but some things you guys say are funny.

For example, the whole “we have two new characters, Danny’s mustache and beard” then you have the worst voice for his mustache, was as stupid as it comes. I could sense it in Danny’s voice where he was like “god get me out of here now!” Try not to be such a Colt Anal Douche.
